Edmonton-based TrueU.ai announced its mobile app on October 6, describing it as a “Thinking Partner” for self-reflection rather than a general-purpose assistant. Its first feature, Perspectives, presents different viewpoints on a user’s question without issuing a final verdict. The company says it plans to add more tools before the end of 2026.
The app is listed for iPhone and Android. The App Store listing requires iOS 17 or later; the company’s announcement links to both app stores. TrueU says users can start for free without a credit card, then use a free trial before a paid subscription. On the US App Store listing, in-app purchases are shown at US$24 per month or US$239.99 per year. Prices and availability can differ by country and storefront.
TrueU says conversations are encrypted at rest, are not used to train AI models, and can be deleted with the account’s learned profile. Its store disclosures add context: Apple lists several categories of data that the developer says may be linked to users, including contact information and user content, while Google Play says the app may collect location and personal information and may share financial information, app activity and device IDs. These disclosures are developer-provided and should be reviewed alongside the company’s privacy policy.
The app is positioned as a decision-support and reflection tool, not therapy or crisis care. Its core design choice is to surface perspectives and patterns while leaving decisions to the user.
